I have a G3 v9.2 The customer asked if we could have a time limit of 15 min. on outgoing line that are using long distance. I am not sure if this can be done. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

You could try to isolate the stations who typically make these long distance calls by assigning them different CORs.

Then on the "change cor x" screen set the "Outgoing Trunk Disconnect Timer (minutes):" field to "15". Of course, this would mean that any calls they make while they have that COR will automatically be terminated at 15 minutes, whether they are long distance or not. This may or may not be a trade off you are prepared to make.

Hope this helps

Nick

If I might chime in. Be very careful here. What happens if a 911 caller is receiving complex instructions from the crisis center and you automatically terminate the call? You are now responsible if that person is harmed in any way.

Just food for thought

nickd87 I do not seem to have that option in my "change cor x" "outgoing Trunk Disconnect Timer" I might be missing somthing , But I checked all 4 pages.
