Hi All,

I have an Option 11C:

MAIN CAB
VERSION 2111
RELEASE 25
ISSUE 40 B +

The problem is that the direct connect terminal does not time out after 15 or 20 minutes. If the customer goes in to make a name change and forgets to log off, I can't access the maint loads remotely (like LD 02). There is no LOUT prompt in load 17 under password.

Any suggestions???

Use the forc command to kick them out and then you can access your loads

First log in and the write forc x
x= tty number you want to force log out

I logged in and wrote forc 2...it did not force out the terminal?? What else can I try....I thought the terminals should always time out automatically.

go to your login paramaters and under the options make sure you have force allowed in your login, then the command will work for you.

John,

How do I get to the login parameters?

Referred to as the Overlay Loader.
Just login then at the,
> (Type in SEND xx = tty port) system reponds with
SEND MSG (Type message up to 80 charactors) return

Other Commands;
WHO
SEND ALL

Just got a call in about these COMMANDS, maybe this will help somebody else.
There are more, you can find this INFO in NTP PO842843 X11 maintenance programs.
