I have a MICS 7.0 XC and What to create a new route using digit 5 (System will let me use 8)I cant find how to free up the digit 5. I will give up 8 for the 5. I looked under Sets and no leading digit 5 is used. Where the heck is it!

Thanks in Advance for the help.

I think received numbers on target lines conflict as well, do you have any target lines that the received number start with 5? I could be wrong to, its been a while since Ive worked on a Norstar.

BombOne,
The received digits that are used on my target lines are 100-320

Thanks for your help

Don't forget to check the B2 channels also of the extensions.

Check under Terminals & Sets to see what your valid DN choices are. You will probably find a bunch of possible DNS. that begin with 5. You will have to do a bunch of DN.
changes to free up the 5 for a Destination Code.

I found them as unequiped B2 channels on active B1 channels.

Port number = 0513 B1 active DN 276
Port number = 0513 B2 channel unequipped DN 500

How can I change these B2 channels from 5XX to 8XX range?

Thanks,
Tech1999

The B2 Channels 5XX DN's start at:
Port 0513 B2 channel DN 500
To
Port 1116 B2 Channel DN 599

How can I change these B2 channels from 5XX to 8XX range?

Thanks,

PCCAL,
Under Terminals & Sets DN choices are...

DN 200 to 423
DN 648 to 699
DN 700 to 717

Module Lines Line ports B1 DN B2 DN DN ports

Check Mod 6,7 & 8. You will have to Dn changes to get rid
of the 500 to 540 Ext. range.

Go to
System Programing
Change DN

You can change them there, just make sure you change them to one that does not exist anywhere in the system otherwise all you will reallly do is swap them.

Sorry I meant from 500 to 599. Not 500 to 540.

Thanks PCcal...I am using the FASTRAD and did not see the Change DN at first until you told me where it was.
God 1 at a time Owch......
Thanks Again.

And reprogram from scratch...

I've had to change dn my B2's a few times in the past, too. Tedious, but it can be done.
