Hey,

Where is the configurable file to edit when you want to allow root login only via the system console?

On Solaris there is a file called /etc/default/login where you comment out a line to restrict login by root except via the console, so is there a file similar in hpux?

Or how do you do it ?

Thanks in advance...

Hi,

you may create (or edit) a file /etc/securetty
man login for details

There is a kernel entry for total number of logins.
