Greetings All,

Quick question: Where do I go to see the available memory on the Controller card for my BCM400 R3.6?

I am checking out the necessary requirements for the system before applying the Cummulative Patch 360.259_Cummulative.99.3.

Reason for applying patch: CDR reports, and IP telephony don't work. The patch suggests fixes for these services.

Nuff thanks in advance to all learned massive!

Can you access BCM Via IP connection?
Use BCM Monitor to see real time Memory.

Respect due, Acewarlock.

I have BCM Monitor running. What tab shows me memory on the Controller Board, is it BCM Info, MSC, or Usage Indicator?

I'm thinking Usage Indicator, but I might be mistaken.

Appreciate the speedy respponse,

RasFada

Usage Indicator show total memory, it should be at least 256k

I have 60 BCM's that I have upgraded to 3.6 and applied 360.259_Cummulative.99.3 patch on and I have never had a memory problem. Just go ahead and do it. if there is a problem it will tell you when it does the system check.

Hey Ace,

I went ahead and initiated tha patch anyway, and this is the response I got.

Congiguring FTP server on BCM...

Result: Cannot find file/Transfer cancelled. Please reinsert the CD and restart the update.

Performing Health Check on BCM...

Result: There is insufficient disk space on the BCM drive E:\.

What do you make of this? Earlier I went to the Command prompt to view the different drives, and saw that drive E: had 5 files of 20 bytes. Below is a copy of drive E:

[CHICAGO_BCM]E:\>dir
Volume in drive E is LOGS
Volume Serial Number is 6F6F-01A4

Directory of E:\

03/17/06 06:18p <DIR> Backup

05/05/04 04:32a 20 PartitionVersion.txt
03/24/06 09:57a 0 temp.txt
5 File(s) 20 bytes
60,778,496 bytes free

go into E:\backup and delete all files
go to nortel networks and see if there is a prior pacth file that is using a large amount of space.

Acewarlock... the name commands attention. It doesn't look like space should be an issue here. Check out the Backup and Nortel Networks directories and let me know what you think. By all indications, these files/folders are empty.

Thanks again, Ace!

So does that mean that I need other patches to get at least the CDR to work? If so, where can I get my hands on it. The Nortel installer, because of corporate bureaucracy, will no longer take a service call from my company.

Please, any further assistance on this matter I will gladly accept.

Big up, Acewarlock! Much thanks again.

That is one of the reasons, yes. I thought the Cummulative Patch would fix the "overhearing/crosstalk" problems this location has as well... your thoughts or suggestions please.

On a slightly different topic, you wouldn't happen to know the cost of Keycode/s to turn up about eight i2050's and will any type of patch be necessary? Again this is a BCM400 R3.6. I go out T1 so the i2050s would just be for LAN use.

Many thanks, Acewarlock. I really do appreciate your speedy responses.

Do an inventory under system and then look at the printout should show if patch 3 was installed.
