azerty keyboard types qwerty

Hi all,

hope that somebody can help me

I've a azerty keyboard on a win me pc
but it keeps typing in qwerty???

I've changed the landsettings and keyboard
settings to what it should be...

- still qwerty

I've checked the bios settings

deleted the driver and reïnstalled it
changed the keyboard, with another azerty keyboard

no result!

does anybody have a good TEK-TIP for me?

i think you need to change your regional/language settings

in your control panel there should be a icon for this (maybe be keyboard on ME). You need to add French language support (or another language that uses azerty) After you apply the setting and restart it should work.

I've already tried this but, no result!
It seems like the previous owner tried
to change it in the registry...

Maybe I should be looking there?

I've re-installed the computer and upgraded it to xp
so the problem is solved...
