Hi

I am trying to deploy an SE on AWS.
The deployment and ignition are fine, but one deployed I cannot access the instance via Manager
I get a message that it cannot be found and maybe offline of have software lower than 3.2.
It's happened twice, both instances being deployed from the community image as per the documentation.
Web manager is still OK as in Monitor etc.

Any ideas?

Cheers!

Might have to although this os the second try already.

manager can see the instance but after entering credentials is when it complains like above.

Also web manager is stuck in offline mode...

can you use web manager? ive got loads of AWS SE's with no issues?

did you use an AMI to install?

A word to the wise ain't necessary - it's the stupid ones that need the advice.

sorry just read your post properly, which AMI did you use? you need AMI IPO-11.0.0.4000.74 (just be aware the volume on 9608's is shit on this version so youll need to change the upgrade file and drop the older 96XX files in)

Yes, used the AMI you mention.

Turms out it was the security group settings.

I had allowed all TCP and UDP (2 seperate rules) traffic from our IP here but manager would not connect.
If I allowed All Traffic / All Protocols as a single entry it workrd OK

Not sure Manager uses anything other than TCP or UDP??

Cheers
