AWOL administrator credentials

The admin pw for this exchange server was stored in an external drive which was inadvertantly formatted. I am unable to do anything at all, because it's continually looking for credentials I do not know in a place they no longer exist.

The error message I get is:
The suppled credential for 'administrator' on Bind operation is invalid. Error Code: 0x31. The supplied credential is invalid.

Any way I can remove the program completely to reinstall a fresh copy? Even when I try to uninstall the program, it still throws the above error.

Change the administrator password, log in to the server and change where it appears in services or other apps where it has been hard coded.

Thanks, but how or where would I do that without the original password? Neither the shell nor the management console will let you do anything while the credentials don't work.

Change it on the domain controller.
