Awkward Choice for hosted DC

Hey guys,

Because of the ICMP setting on our providers firewall I cannot get Group Policy on to our Managed Servers, I need this so I can lock down the Terminal Services users.

So now I have a choice...which server to put Domain Controller on:

A) SQL Server (back-end for main company app)
B) Terminal Services server
C) Future Exchange mail server

None are ideal or best practice but unless somebody has a better idea looks like I am stuck with it. I am leaning towards the Exchange mail server but am interested to see what anyone else thinks.

Domain Controller never ever ever is recommended on Exchange. TS will cause permissioning issues and SQL server not ideal at all. Do you have an extra PC to put windows server on and make it a DC (not your only DC of course)

I would choose any of those. I would try to find another rig sitting around.
I just have a question as to where your DNS/DHCP is hosted?

If Group Policy does not work as you get 1054 Userenv errors in the Application Event Log, check out GroupPolicyMinTransferRate and see if that would apply for your situation?

Torturednacho these are hosted boxes so that wouldn't work, its alot more money just to stick up and extra box for Group Policy.
