We are using AWH55 wireless headsets but for some reason they won't pickup a ringing call on the phone. If you push the headset button it grabs another call apearance and provides a dialtone instead of picking up the ringing call. We have 9650 IP phones and this headset is suppose to work w/o a handset lifter which apparently it does as it will communicate with the phone and grab a call appearance for calling out but not answering an incoming call. Any ideas/suggestions? Phone of course works fine with the handset.
Thanks..

I thougth the AWH55 had been discontinued - we bought the AWH75 and it works great with the 96XX phones...

Not helpful information though to your problem, but information.

Thanks,
CJH

Thanks for the response. Thats a shame, wish we would have used the AWH75 model.
Was there anything in programming or otherwise you had to do to make the headset work properly?

On the right side of the base, there is a dip-switch. I believe if it is set to one bar, it will answer the incoming call. The two bar setting selects another appearance. At least that is how the one I use is setup...

It's just not working right. Though I am 600 miles from the user who has the headset but he is fairly intelligent. We have the switch setting on the base unit set on 3 and we have tried the option setting on the side of the base unit selecting I and II. Neither option seems to have an effect. The headset works but to answering an incoming call the user pushed the headset button on the phone. Should the headset button but on all the time? But I think he said he gets a dialtone when he pushes it. I'm confused.

I have never had a user that has been able to sucessfully set up a AWH55. That might be your problem....

Thanks for the input. Does that mean it won't work or the user can't make it work with our input?

I don't have 96XX phones. But I do have a few of the AWH55 and every one of them I had to set up, becuase the user could figure it out.

Thanks. Do you have 46XX phones or ??
