AW0004 failed to open file !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,

The job log shows AW0004 failed to open file with access denied to the various mailboxes. All the permisssion are right and everthing are running ArcServe2000 SP4.

I also don't seem to be able to expand the Exchange server icon in the ArcServe Manager to browse the Information Sore etc.

Any help will be appreciated.

Tried stopping and starting the backup agent RPC server ??
Are you sure all permissions are set on both Windows AND Exchange Organization Level ??
checked faq478-759 on the faqs part of this forum ??

I run Exchange 2000 SP3 on a Windows 2000 DC SP3. I have created a account and add it to the Domain Admins, backup operators and administrators group. Have set all the rights in the Domain Policy things, the agent installs fine. Can browse into the brick level bit, but not exchange server. It's not giving me the agent option. Installed Arcserve SP4 on all the machines. Keep getting the AW0004 errors access denied to open all the mailboxes on M drive in the job log. Apart from the client agent and database agent for exchange is there anything else that I must install.

I have installed the open files agent on the ArcServ server, was that a wise thing to do?

I've seen some strange things happen with both Exchange and BAOF installed in a post sp4 environment. Maybe you can try an uninstall or stopping the service and see what is going on. It's just trial and error I know but I haven't seen anything better yet
