I have an old Data General Meditec AV9500 server with two 20 slot clarion storage units. It has been running fine as an archive system for 10 years. I no longer have the documentation for accessing the Storage Processor Console.

Does anyone have documentation or knowledge that can assist me with a faulty drive? I have good spares running in the Clarion with the faulty drive. The system is still running on the master clarion drives but the mirrored application is down.

Any documentation or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

If it is the old SCSI Clariion, just 25 pin comm cable to a dumb terminal or hyperterm should get you to Gridman. Once there that may refresh your memory. I think the settings were 96-8-even. You might have to play with that a bit..not a 100% on that. Might be thinking about the next generation settings.

Thanks for your help.

I believe the console SP console is working ok. Wasn,t sure how to use Gridman. It has been over 15 years since we put this machine in and havn,t had any problems in last 10 years.
