I now have the video tape on my computer. I have an ATI Pro Rage Fury Video card that can convert the video in to avi. I want to take a few frames out of this avi and put them on a web site as pictures. Any advice. I am using dreamweaver 4 to create the site and have several other helpful tools downloaded and added from friends. This one has just about everyone stumped. Am I the only one without a digital camera but has a video camera that can put avi on my system?

Hi,

Doesn't the software that comes with your video card have that feature? I use a pinnacle card and in the software there is a 'grab picture' function. I can save it as tiff, jpeg or gif. Don't know if this helps you but maybe you can check your manual for such a function.

Thanks, Since I posted this I checked my video card again and nope it refuses to capture just a frame. I then went to and did an extensive search and just plain looked all over. When I was just about ready to give up I found it. The program is called Random Frame. It does exactly what I wanted it to do. I am getting pretty good about finding ways to change what other people give me into usable images for their web sites. I even have several that do a batch at a time to convert it. I also have a trial of Fireworks and think that I just might have to have that one too. Guess the next web site I do will cost just enough extra to afford Fireworks too.

Thanks for the help.
