AVI files imported into Corel 12 photo /paint are appearing in negative coloration. I do not seem to be able to correct this problem using the color manager. I have updated all my files. so that is an issue. what I am trying to do is combine graphics/animation with live action by frame by frame basis. I know this can be done because I have done it. However, the coloration issue with the imported file appearing in negative is making it impossible to match the colors on the screen with the finished product.
AVI files created in Corel, exported and then imported back or opened with Corel appear in normal coloration and play just fine in any other application.

I have been over the Corel help files and there's no mention of this issue. I e-mailed Corel and all I got was a reference to the pay by the minute helpline.

I am using premiere as an NLE. Plenty of system RAM (2 gig), a Kick ass graphics card (ATI X1800)

I want to correct this problem not circumvent it and use another program.

Has anybody ever had any problems like this with imported AVI files in Corel 12 photo and paint?

Why are you editing AVIs in Photopaint and not a video editor?
