Would anyone be able to provide an estimate of the total maintenance costs per port per month? I'm looking specifically for a CO Class 5 switch in a government environment, but any industry standard information would be greatly appreciated.
Assuming you mean what a vendor will charge you for support (if it breaks) per port on a system then typically (in the UK) pricing is as follows. This does depend on the size switch too.
4 Hour Response Monday to Friday £12.50 per port per annum.
Bear in mind that applications support come on top for example voice mail, call management etc.
If you could provide a little more detail ie total amount of users and what applications may sit on the system we may be a able to shed a little more light.
ps Some vendors include support for the first year !
