AVG FREE - IE/Notepad-problem

I run Win2KPRO. I have two users, both admins, on the machine - let's call them A and B. When installing AVG Free as user A, the "View source"-option in IE stops working but only for user A (applies both to main- and context menus) - the item is present on the menus but Notepad simply won't open. Otherwise AVG runs fine for both users.

I'm positive AVG is the reason for the problem, but I've not been able to locate any help on the subject from AVG/Grisoft.

How shall I tweak AVG to enable "View source" again - or, how shall I tweak IExplorer to enable the menus?

Had AVG in:ed and un:ed many times and determined AVG is the reason. "View source" begins to work as soon as AVG is unistalled.

Did a google search, found nothing. Unless somebody here has seen this before, I think you're just getting what you paid for. You have one of two options.

1. Buy an antivirus scanner that has technical support.
2. Email grisoft, tell them you want to buy the professional edition, but the free one has this problem, and you are waiting to get a fix to buy the professional one (or at least get a statement from them that they can fix it if you pay).

Sorry I can't offer much help, but free stuff often has bugs.

The free version, which I too use has no support at all, So, yeah either have to buy one or try another good free one which I found to be Avast Home Edition, pretty much just as good as AVG, also, free just go to: and just like AVG you have to register and re-register after a year, to get all the updates.
