I've installed the latest version on AVG on my Machine but it now freezes just after it boots up. I get about 10 seconds from when it finishes booting up before the machine freezes. If I uninstall AVG my machine works fine. Previous versions of AVG have worked fine. I thought it may have been someting to do with the upgrades so I downloaded the latest version from the actual website but thno difference.

You can get freezes triggered by the bootup scanner on some machines runing some versions of windows.
Try starting windows in safe mode and disable the AVG boot up scanner, to see if that is the cause.

Steve: Delphi a feersum engin indeed.

Thanks for that I diabled the boot scan and that didn't work a friend suggested that I run Scanreg /fix to repair teh registry and that seems to have worked.
