I have set up voice mail pro, did all the greetings, transfer points, work properly, however,

The main greeting says quote "If you know your parties extension please press star (*) followed by the extension number".

It has the Start then the Menu 1,2,3,4,5,6,0,* options then the 7 transfer options but the * followed the by the extension number is the problem.

I am only seeing dial by name, and I try to use another transfer but what to put for specific location???

How to program this aspect I am loss,

Please help

Needs to be just:

*2?? > Tranfer Action set to $KEY as destination

No need for any other DTMF entries 1,2,3,4,5 etc :)

Can't be $KEY because that would transfer to *2001 for example. He'll need to trim the number using a generic action.

Using the + on your menu add *2??? and connect that to a generic action.

On the Generic select String Manipulation from the drop down.

Enter $KEY as the "Select Variable"

Enter $SAV as the "Select Variable for Result"

Select From the Right on the operation drop down.

Enter 4 in the number of characters.

Connect the Next in the Generic to a Transfer action and on the specific tab enter $SAV

Ah yes, well just forget the * part, just have them dial the extension instead, then from the option 2 in the first menu put put another menu with ??? in and a timeout, connect the ??? to a transfer action with 2$KEY as the destination and have the timeout go to the normal destination for when they press 2 from the first menu :)
