does anyone know where to download the latest Avaya firmware supported on IPO for the Vantage?
when you go on the Avaya support page, all the options are releases less than what is documented within the Avaya knowledge base setup information

doesnt add up though, so on knowledge base their is the following reference K1xx_SIP-R2_0_1_0_5080.tar

so thats a higher release to what you sent a link to, i've seen this release before, but just cannot find it.

Communicator,
You're on to something. I just went to the support.avaya.com page, went to Downloads and searched for Vantage. I selected Avaya Vantage and used the pull down to select 2.1 and only a 46xxsettings file shows up.

I know I downloaded this, because my Vantage phone in front of me is on 2.1.0. This is the name of the download I took from support.avaya.com: K175-IPT-SIP-R2_1_0_1-090119.

They must have removed them... ? I just wanted to let you know, they were definitely there when I downloaded them on Sept 16th.

Been there, done that

My guess:
they screwed up yet ANOTHER firmware and just took it off quietly in embarrassment.

They should take of 11.0.4 while they are at it or replace the firmware for the 9608's on it :)

yep, most likely.
I'll be honest, I really dont get the complexity in terms of setting up around the vantage. Why dont they set it up so you can easily download upgrades from an 'Avaya' central store through the device itself, rather than having us have to mess with 46xxsettings files etc on a file store.
Once on, why is the android feel so different, why cant they simply just have play store on the app, with the ability to download Equinox like on any other device, why again do you have to mess with a settings file. I've got 2 x vanatages setup as a demo, with them both looking/performing completly differently to one and other, yet it was the same firmware they took!

and just whilst im on a roll! why isnt Equinox on windows not set to auto-update like all applications these days. Even app's like Micro SIP prompt you that an update is available - avaya's stance seems to be just keep checking back to the website every day, once you see an update, inform your whole customer base that they need to update, because if there are issues, thats Avaya's fix!

I just find things so frustrating at times, there supposed to be a market leader, yet it all just comes out very backwards.

Hahaha

I hear you and I am asking myself the same questions every time I have to spend 8 hours on something that other devices do in 30 minutes.
I think the auto upgrade is not done because they have enough problems keeping their website running (half) decently.

The installation procedure is so complicated because they don't want to spend time on making it easier otherwise the Avaya techs will not have enough work and they don't care if BP's have to spend extra hours.

Friday bitch session is on, people

2.1.0.1 has been removed from the support website . And as per the support team 2.2 is to be released in the coming few days .
And i ask myself the same thing as everyone why the hell they are making the vantage upgrade so complicated and needing to have a separate http server and takes time.
Why don't they push ota if its based on android .
