Customers IPO is currently on R6 and they would like to upgrade to 9.1

Please can someone let me know if I have to upgrade to 7 then 8 then 8.1 then 9.0 then 9.1 or will I be ok to skip some of these?

Also will the only upgrade licence I require be the 9.1 upgrade licence?

TIA,

Ok thanks, I have read this now but I have a;ready gone from R6 to R7 and it is asking for a licence. Do you think I will be ok to go from R7 to R8.1 and then R9.1 or should I roll it back to R6?

I only have a R9.1 small upgrade licence and no essential edition so I am abit worried

Go up to 9.1, generate the PLDS ugrade file and go back to the licensed version, and restore a old backup.

Ok I am currently on 8.1 with 'no licence available' on the screen. I opened up the config and essential edition licence doesn't see to have been generated. I am going to upgrade to 9.1 now

Sorry, mixed up two threads, for 9.1 yoy don't need PLDS licenses, you just need to install a upgrade ADI license.
Then you do not have to go back to the original version.
But you should have installed the upgrade license before any upgrade.

Josh, did you go to 8.0 at any point as the essential edition licence was introduced at 8.0 and so to get the virtual one you have to at some point upgrade to 8.0(18) or above.
