setting up a UC voicemail pro and trying to access with the Administrator login and password that I use to access IPO but not letting me access ( tried default values as well )

running 8.0.43

downloaded the client from the UC accessing the ip address assigned to the voicemail pro / one-x portal settings /network - ( no user defined error )

am I missing something ?

cheers !

Administrator should work.
You could try to install vmpro again.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

the voicemail pro is part of the UC module and is seen as running - already removed the client from my desktop and reloaded ( same thing " no user found " )

yet I can login to IPO manager no problem with Administrator

cheers

If you are talking about the UCM/C110 mudule check the ip address, you have to assign to the unit a different ip address respect the IP500v2.

hibroth -

able to access the ip address of the UCM via internet explorer

Nortel4user -

tried that as well as I thought since this is what you use to login to UCM via web interface why not try webcontrol/ web ( errors out )

it should be webcontrol / web
all small, make sure you don't use an upper case letter

Avaya's documentation wrong? really never heard that, they have more errors in the new docs then in the last 5 releases before. Hope they fix it and hopefully someone reports it to them. They should have a reporting email address for typos and wrong info in them so that they get it faster and can fix it before people open tickets. Also translation errors could be reported faster.

I had the same issue the 8.1 documentation says administrator/administrator but 8.0 is webcontrol/web so keep that in mind when 8.1 gets here.

Indeed 8.0 is still we control and web.
Mind that it is all small letters.
Uninstall vmpro and install it again.
use a normal vmpro and see what happens.

I had the same issue, the UCM IP address has to be different respect the IPO where the unit is connected in.

After initial login you will be able to change the UCM ipaddress, this will be used both for web access and VMPro.

I know it is wrong but I assume that this is the first thing to be done.

the first thing I did when I logged was change the ip address to something other than default value and will give webcontrol / web another .

many thanks to all the replies

cheers
