I just found some information in previously closed thread688-415274 from 2002 to 2005 regarding the same problem I have had for several years with our Partner ACS system with two Transtalk 9040's and previously the 9030 series. If we leave our two Transtalk 9040's with the batteries connected, then don't answer a call or page on the 9040's, we often find them continuously chirping -- but not all the time. Then we have to turn them on, then off to stop the chirping. So we end up leaving them sitting around without the battery installed, which makes it useless for answering calls.
Has anyone else out there had this problem and solved it in recent years? Were you successful changing the calling group for these two extension to solve this problem as described in the old thread? OR did you find different solution?
