Hey guys -
So we have an IP 500 V2 running 11.0.4.4. We use TAPI on our CSRs PC's to populate a screen/call pop from our billing system, that takes that CSR directly to the customers account based on the incoming CID provided. This has been working for quite some time, however recently we have been swapping out PC's and need to re-install the TAPI on the new PCs / however cannot remember what username & password was used when running the TAPI2 or TAPI3 installer file from the userCD. The installer asks for the User Name & User Password (along with the IP500 IP Address). Is this the user's extension username & password? or the username & password to access the IP Office? Thanks for any help...

if it is 1st party Tapi (running on the useres PC to controll 1 extn only) then it is the extn username & password

3rd party tappi needs an account to regester on the IP office as it needs to controll multiole exxtns (& requires a dev-link licence)

Yes it is 1st party TAPI. I am assuming it would be the extn password on the user tab / and not the login Code under telephony>Supervisor settings?

Thanks IPGuru

Nevermind just found that answer -

Default = Blank. Range = Up to 31 alphanumeric characters.
This password is used by user applications such as SoftConsole and TAPI. It is also used for user's with Dial In access.

Note that this is not the user's voicemail mailbox password (see User | Voicemail | Voicemail Code) or their phone log in code (see User | Telephony | Supervisor Settings | Login Code).

Password complexity rules can be set through the General security settings. If complexity is not met, an error is displayed. The configuration can still be saved, except if system locale is set to France2.
