Good day all. I wasn't sure what exactly to look for so my searches werent very fruitful.

I am currently using ASA R1.12.02 and I would like to upgrade to ASA 5.2.17 for I now have larger systems with MAS|MSS intergration.

Currently I have about 15+ site entries for both PBX and VM systems that I really don't want to have to recreate. Is there a directory that I can export before I run the new install and import back in or am i going to have to re-enter each site.

Thanks in advance!!

You need to find your persist.dat file. Back this file up and restore after you upgrade ASA.
I can't remember the location for your version. Look either in...

C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\Avaya\Site Administration\user ... or
C:\Program files\Avaya\Site Administration\user.

Rock on, be strong... SG

True unless you've up graded to Windows 7. I can't find my Persist.dat file anywhere! The read me says it is in the back up folder. Where? Anyone else taken the leap to 7 know where it is?

This may be a a bit basic, but have you set windows Folder Options:View to
show hidden files and
unhide protected system files?

A file in a backup folder might be marked hidden or protected...

I don't have Win7 yet, so I don't know where Microsoft moved "Folder Options". But this link seems to be a good start:
