Hi Guys,
I'm looking for a bit of advise using Session Manager and a FOIP end point server. I am seeing a lot of outbound calls from my FOIP server with high latency and jitter (no packet loss), the result we are seeing is that older receiving fax machines either fail or have degraded fax printouts.
The setup is a UDP trunk (port 5060) from the FOIP server to Session Manager and then we have a TLS trunk (port 5061) between session manager and the ACD (UDP is not possible from what I can see).
The correct codec is being used (G711, T.38, ECM=y, modem off) but I cannot stop these degraded calls....
My questions are -
1. We only have one trunk between session manager and the ACD and this is shared by voicemail and a few other endpoints, can I specific two trunks between session manager and the ACD so segregate the FOIP traffic and play around with it?
2. Anyone have a similar set up and can suggest any improvements or recommendations?
Many Thanks
Mark
