I am looking for help to program an Avaya IP406. I need a short code to do several things, 1)conference preprogramed numbers (outgoing, extensions, or both)2) fire a relay or two, 3)Play a wave file over the PA.

Scenario
A person sees something taking place that requires emergency response, they pick up the phone and dial a short code and in turn it starts a conference call to predetermined numbers and or extensions, also a relay either will change or pulse, and start an emergency wave file over the PA system.

I have been told that this all can be done, however after countless hours of reading the help and other documentation I have yet to figure out hot to begin to create a short code let alone accomplish this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Kirk

I have used a hunt group with all users in the group. Then setup a short code for Dial Paging to the hunt group. When you dial the short code your voice comes out over all the idle digital handsets. (have not had the chance to try it over IP sets)

For an emergency message over paging the Viking DNA-510 works well but you need a trunk or analog station port available.

Is it possible to use voicemail lite to do everything except play the wave file. This project is a demonstration of integration with an access control system and spending another $500.00 hurts a little.

As far as the hunt group calling goes, can you detail how I would set that up. again I don't do phone systems and only bought this system for demo purpose. I'm just a dumb access control installer.

Thanks for everyone's interest and help.

Voicemail Lite doesn't do anything except answer with a mailbox, no attendants or anything and hasn't been supported for years. Can't be done with embedded either :)

If this demo only runs for a short period of time, order a demo license for Preferred edition.
(Works for 14 days)

Kind regards

Gunnar

If it is a demo then install voicemail pro and restart the service when needed.
It runs fine for two hours after the restart.

For the group create a shortcode:
*99
priority call
groupnumber
Line id 0

You could try to add a virtual user with the PA system in that same group.

The priority call will call the group and will keep ringing unanswered phones and put them all in a conference group.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!
