Avaya Server Edition License Dormant (All Others Valid)

Let me start by saying we work on standard IP office a lot but not server edition.

We got in a server edition unit out of service and we wanted to Refurb it for resale however the actual server edition license is showing as dormant. All of the other licenses show as valid. The plds key shows 5 server edition licenses on it. Is it showing dormant because we don’t have it hooked up to a server? Or am I missing something else?

Tried defaulting the unit, deleting the keycode, reloading etc.

I am under the impression that a "dormant" key is typically the result of something else missing (versus invalid or obsolete).

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Here is what's on the keycode if that helps:

What is the unit? A physical HP/Dell server or an IP500 that was used on an SE estate?

That PLDS is ver R10. Have you upgraded it to R11? This might make the key go dormant.

What were you going to resell? You can't resell the license, it doesn't belong to you. It belongs to "STORAGECRAFT TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION N/A DRAPER UT United States"

So you've loaded a SE license onto an IP500 unit?

APSS/ACIS/ACSS-SME
not arrogant, just succinct.

An IP500 on its own is no good without a Linux Primary server. And that server is where the licenses should be.

That will be why the license is dormant. It needs a primary to work and shouldn't be on the 500.

So this is actually a v500 v2 unit.
Is it set up as a expansion gateway or IP office stand alone system

What are you doing to it for resale..
You should default it to ip office with only the ip office licence on it if you have it.
Or default and use it as a spare unit.

Yes the server edition licence is for the primary server which serves out the licences to the other units.
Each expansion downloads them from the primary server

Some one might have registered the server licence on the v500 unit by mistake.
Costly mistake.

It looks like maybe someone did register the server license onto this unit but apparently that will not work. Again I am not the server edition is not my area of expertise.

Has anyone converted a system from server to standard mode and had the licenses follow (obviously would need an essential and preferred license)?

Erase the config
Reboot and it will come up in basic edition.
Then change it to standard mode

File - Advance - Switch to standard mode

Or

Use the offline configuration tool to create the new cfg in advance, recreate the SD Card reboot & upload new Config. downtime less than 10 min.

Yea I get all that but it doesn't have an essential or preferred edition so could I possibly add those and convert it to standard mode while re-using the other licenses?

OR I still have a copy of the ADI licenses.. Could I take it back to 9.1 and re-load those? And keep it at 9.1 from here on out.

The reason I ask that is the ADI licenses have the essential and preferred
