Does anyone have some info or guides the describes what type /how one Avaya device/Server connects to another, IP wise (H.323, SIP, Trunk, or is a Codec G711/729 is used)?

Looking for:

• ESS to G450
• ESS to another ESS
• ESS to System Manager
• ESS to Modular Messaging
• G450 to Modular Messaging
• IP Phone to Modular Messaging
• IP Phone to IP Phone
• IP Phone to G450
• System Manager to Session Manager
• System Manager to Aura Conferencing

Best place to start is here: Enter Communication Manager, Session Manager and Media Gateway respectively to search for documentation on these platforms and products.

Also take a look at following specifically to start with (you may have to login to access some of these though):
- CM Admin Guide
- CM Implementation Guide
- CM Survivability options
- CM Network Connectivity, really useful document. Should probably start from here ...
- CM Feature description
- CM Server Options

For session manager, you may look at the following:
- SM Admin Guide
- Some SM background info
- SM Overview

For G450 MGW
- G450 Quick start guide
- G450 install and upgrade guide

There are a whole lot of docs to read on but these should get you started hopefully.

Cheers

TM
