Hi there,

Im installing 2 Avaya IP Offices setup as a SCN on a bridged network. The sites are linked via a 100M connection. The main site will have Voicemail Pro. If for example the customers network is in the 192.168.50.x range then

Avaya IP Office Main = 192.168.50.10
Avaya Voicemail Pro = 192.168.50.11

Avaya IP Office Remote = 192.168.50.20

Im trying to work out if its best to have the IP handsets in the same customer data IP range or not.

Is it better to install as above and have the IP handsets in a range of 192.168.50.100 to 192.168.50.150 or separate them using the Lan and Wan connections on the IP Office. Having the IP handsets on a 192.168.42.x range.

If one IP office fails I believe it will fall over to the other IP Office. If so I would imagine the IP handsets need to be in the 192.168.50.x range?

Thanks

Bob

Use the 50 range for sure.
