We have a new G450 with an LSP (CM 5.1.1). This is connected to the main server via a point to point T1 using the MM340. We are unable to save translations to the LSP. We can ping, telnet and FTP to the LSP through the MM340, but just can't save translations.

We can save translations if we connect the G450 to the network via the Ethernet WAN port.

I havn't used the MM340, but I know this did work in the with the X330 WAN module in a siliar design. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You can't save translations to an LSP. They get 'pushed' from the main server.

Log into CM and do "save tran lsp". After save is done do "list survivable", have translations been saved/pushed? Is LSP registered? If not registered, check
mgc list on gateway.

Is the LSP registered when you do a list survivable?

If no check to make sure the LSP Registration CLAN can ping the LSP.

If yes, then you may need to add a static route to the LSP via the S8XXX Server you are connected to. Make sure the server access is opened up on the customer LAN Side of the LSP For FTP, SSH, etc. is enabled.

As stated then try a save translations LSP.
