System was working fine, but the web interface for administration was not functioning. I rebooted the system and web interface corrected. It also had receptionist soft console showing red alarm lite. I was anticipating the light going off as well with the reboot....it did not. When I look at the display alarms, nothing stands out for problems with current dates. I want to be able to clear the alarm from receptionist soft console. I even used Linux command line to investigate and clear alarms...but light still on and she complaining.

Do 'list cabinet'. How many G650s does it show for cabinet 1? If it shows A, B, & C but you only have A & B, do 'change cabinet 1' and delete G650 C.

Kevin

Thank you, but that is not it. I have just the cabinets correct. I just discovered that the date and time are off. I day and two hours ahead.....hmmm? COuld this be any root cause of my alarm lite not going out at softconsole? What are repercussions of correcting time middle of the day?

would anyone advise against changing system date and time in the middle of a work day?

4merAvaya is right, you posted display circuit packs 1 but display cabinet or list will show if the cabinet is administered for a C carrier.

Like this one has 2 carriers with the rest as Carrier type "not-Used". It's not that we don't believe you but your alarm is clearly on a carrier that not there according to your posts.
Code:
Display cabinet 11

Hmmmmmm.....this is strange.

Change cabinet command needs a 1 to define a cabinet. And shows as below.

I am growing more confused instead of gaining on the situation.

What are the commands to establish\change the date and time from the GUI interface on S8500. 'set time' does not allow fields to be manipulated\changed at all.
DATE AND TIME

DATE

Your list cabinet command is fine and is showing two carriers hence PN 01 PN 01
If you are copying your output from emulator screens try using the code tags to get pretty output like so. You can use the icon above or type them manually like below.

Code:
&#91code&#93 pasted stuff here &#91/code&#93

Code:
list cabinet Page 1

What are the commands to establish\change the date and time from the GUI interface on S8500.
It differs depending on CM version but generally under Launch Maintenance Web Interface>Server>Server Date/Time . If that doesn't work you'll need to clarify your software version.

Eh, Funny thing we just added a test cabinet and it through errors on power supplies that weren't there exactly as you described.

mutanx,
I just resolved this alarm on my G650 by:

Change cabinet xx
Add a g650 B PN
Change circuit [port network]
and removed the 655a's from the B carrier.
My alarms cleared, I'm giving it 20 minutes then I was going to try and remove the B carrier from the cabinet administration and see if the alarm returns.
