Ok gang,
Looking for some help here. Setting up a 5610 IP phone in my home to work off the office network. I have the VPN setup, the phone boots, looks for the TFTP server finds it, starts the *.scr download no problem but it it times out? Then it continues and hangs at "Discover 192.168.100.225" the IP of the IP Office unit? I can ping EVERY IP I need either way EXCEPT for the IP Office unit? If I'm inside the network in the office I can ping the IP Office unit but not from the outside? I can ping the file server inside AND outside the network? I'mmm sooo confused.
Thanks in advance for any help!!

Mike

Have you created an IProute in the IPO?

If your home network is 192.168.2.0/24, and the office router is 192.168.1.1, then the route should look like this:

IP: 192.168.2.0
Mask: 255.255.255.0
GW: 192.168.1.1
Dest: LAN1

I did but I think I hosed one of the IP's, let me try that thanks!!

Ok, I changed the settings to reflect what you suggested and I still can't get to the IP Office units IP address. All the other IP's on the netwrok I can ping, just not that one particular IP. I'm thinking it has to be something with the Office unit corect? Or I wouldn't be able to ping other addresses on the network?

Thanks for the help!!
Mike

There's a typo in the IP route suggested.

IP: 192.168.2.0
Mask: 255.255.255.0
GW: 192.168.1.1 (should be 192.168.100.1)
Dest: LAN1

Your subnet is 192.168.100.x so your router will be that with .1 or .254 or something at the end.

What's your home subnet?

Thanks, let me give it a twy....:)

Thanks MAN!!

Sorry, I missed the "Home" subnet question. My home subnet is 192.168.1.XXX

Ok, IP Route should be

IP: 192.168.1.0 (your home network address)
Mask: 255.255.255.0 (the subnet mask of your home network)
GW: 192.168.100.x (this is what your router in the office is)
Dest: LAN1
