I was asked to order a Polycom wireless claw style conference phone and to make it the same extension as the desk phone. First off, I didnt know there was a wireless version but it does look like there is a Soundstation2w by Polycom but I am not so sure Avaya sells that. Also, do any of you know if there is a way to make it the same extension? At first I thought a bridged appearance but I do not think it has any programmable buttons on it.

Please advise and I think you :)

You would use an analog bridged-appearance.

abrdg-appr Ext: 1234567 Rg:r

It works fine with Avaya's analog Circuit Packs & Media Modules. It also works with a cellular phone if you don't have any analog services available...

Hope this helps.

so if I program that on his desk phone.. how does it transfer the call to the polycom? and does the call drop on the deskphone once the wireless/conf phone picks up?

also I do not have the rg:r option (I assume that is some sort of ring control?)

They're bridged - active/active...

I think your question is: If you have an active call on your deskphone number, how do you get it the Polycom.

Press transfer enter Polycom extension and press transfer again. The call will then transfer to both the polycom and the abridged line on the deskphone. The call will be available for answer on both phones. Once answered on the Polycom, the call will remain present on the deskphone eventhough the call is active on the Polycom.

To prevent the call from being picked up on the deskphone after its active on the Polycom, I'm not sure if this is possible. I know with Automatic Exclusion it works well on digital sets, but not sure how you would activate it on analog sets.

Hope this helps.

ok all of that makes sense and is how I would do it, but the user claimed he had a button that just sent it over there without transfer.. but I am trying to find out if he was on an Avaya phone at his old job or not. I thought maybe there was a module transfer similar to how the headset button works...

Per Button Ring Control? y

Not sure about 1 button transfer feature - sorry.
