Hi,

Would anybody have a link / tutorial / video / diagrams of the very basics of an Avaya Definity PBX with how everthing links together , trunks, clans, medpros, ip trunks etc.

Im just looking for the very basics to show a person that has never worked in IT before

Does anybody know if I do the command " ch ip-interfaces " on an Avaya G3 PBX and set all values in the ON Column to "n" ( on the very left of the screen ) Will this bring down / reset all the digital 8410, 6408 etc. phones on Campus or will it only bring down the calls that are going over the IP links we have to other offices ???

Bring down digtal phones. No.

Drop calls that are on the IP trunks. Yes.

You will need to disable the IP interface first. Then go in a change it to 100/Full. Note that you LAN switch must also be force to 100/full or you will have issues. Also, you must be using a Cat 5 wiring harness on the back plane and a cat 5 rated anphanol adapter (usually black with a DB9 and RJ45 connection).

I've been asked to run a report in audix of all the subscribers and their covering extensions, when I list subscribers I don't see the covering information. Is there a way to export this information out of the audix system
