Avaya Patches.

Hi , has anyone ever had to load patch no 11782 , basically it s aNICE fix, when a call is put on hold nice stops recording.
When I look on the Avaya web-site its buried under a service pack.?. It would be nice to get some instructions from some-one who has had to deal with this in the past.
 
Nothing to worry about anseo...just treat it the same as any othher patch and nstall as normal.....it's cold.
 
cold means activating the update will cause a restart so it is service affecting

Thanks for the feedback guys. When searching for this patch the Avaya web-site points me towards service pack 00.1.346.0-10986. The release it tells me to load this on is actually earlier than the release of CM that we are running!
This leads me to think we should already have a fix for this.
Any thoughts..., Cheers, anseo!
 
what software version are you on?

From the shell do an update_show

what update are you running?

10986 is for R013x.00.1.346.0

My software version shows as R013x.01.1.628.7. This is a later version , therefore I am going to assume we already have all the relevant updates that would have been resident on 10986???. Appreciate the help. :)
 
Hi There Anseo you need to check on the Web page for the software version for your system which is running CM 3.1.1 if what you state is R013x.01.1.628.7 . The latest patch at the moment is 15133 which was released in Feb 08,Hope this is a help
 
If it was one of our clients switches, I would upgrade it to CM 3.1.4, as that is the only "official" release that AVAYA will continue comming out with patches for. It is also the last version of CM 3.1.4, and does not require a new license to upgrade any verison of CM 3 to. They also just came out with a Linux securuty patch for CM 3.1.4

Sometimes, its just better to do the update, than fight with older versions of CM.

p.s. all you need is the CM 3.1.4 CD to do this, its a simple process.
