I have found sufficient instruction on how to create and approve an announcement. I do not understand how or where the announcement integrates with my automated attendant message that a caller hears. How do I bring the announcement to the callers attention. What if there are multiple messages I would like the caller to listen to?

What voicemail system are you using with your Partner R7.0? Partner Messaging? Partner Mail VS?

You use a Selector Code to point to the Announcement. "For our address and website, press 7", and Selector Code 7 plays Announcement 1.

If it is Partner Mail VS, there are only 2 announcements available. If it is Partner Messaging, there are 99 announcements available.

After an announcement plays, the caller must press 0 to transfer to the Operator, *8 and an extension number to transfer to an extension, and if they do nothing, the call disconnects.

If you are using Messaging, I would use submenus instead of announcements, because then you can have selector codes in the 1st submenu call other submenus or dial extensions without the *8 first. Also, if the caller doesn't dial anything, the call will follow the "Dial-0/timeout" option and go to the Operator or General Mailbox, or whatever you have set for the auto attendant.

Thanks for that TTT. We have partner messaging as I know we can have up to 99 messages. I will give these options a try.
