my favorite cordless phone by far is a long range cordless phone called the "EnGenius". It brags on a two mile range from the base to the handset. The transciever is separate from the charger which means that the phone and charger can be in an office without pulling a wire. Go to
or do a google search for EnGenius Cordless Phones. I put them on Magix, Legend, and Definity systems and they blow all other high dollar phones out of the water. And because they are analog they work at your house or any other analog compatible system. Good Luck

As of this post, there is only cordless phone for the Partner still being manufactured by Avaya....the 3910. The 9040 was recently discontinued.
Rumor has it that Avaya will be working with an outside supplier to manufacture a true replacement for the 9040.
