I have found this and I am passing this along to anyone who needs it. I currently have an IBM thinkpad Lenovo R60 Laptop that I use to administer all systems. For the longest time I was unable to use the Partner Admin software. I would be able to connect, then the software would lock up when it was trying to receive the information I was trying to gather. Then my laptop would end the connection. This was a repeated problem for me. This happened on dial up from R3-R7 and direct admin on a R7. Found a process that was causing me not to be able to connect. It is the tvtsched.eve system process. It's a Lenovo process. Once I end the process, badda bing, I can do all I want to do. I hope this helps someone out there with the PACS connection issues.

Thanks for the tip

Great tip, but some time ago I posted a work around for all pc's. It is using an external US Robotics Modem. Works like a champ too.
