Avaya Partner Night mode.

I have a Avaya partner system.I have set up the night mode button on ext. 10 but when the light is ON calls come through..... when night button light is OUT calls go to the voice mail..... I do not know how to reverse this button ....any ideas.

I have another question... when ever a customer calls the main number it always goes to the fax machine. but if fax is busy it rings the phones. any Ideas.

is there a fax connected to the partner system? make sure the lines are set to no-ring on that extension.

CO to partner system, ext. to fax.

set no-ring on fax ext. for all lines?
 
If you have a line that is dedicated for inward fax traffic, then let that one ring and make all the others NO RING. Or you could "no ring" all the lines on the fax station, if the AA is routing the fax calls from any line being answered by the AA. You might want to verify what options are currently set for the AA and the Partner.

I would remove all other lines from the fax extension other than the fax line: #301

when I put the phones on Night mode the system rings 4 times before it goes to vm. how do i get it to ring once and go to vm when night mode is activated?

I had given you the wrong procedure to change the hunt schedule, but it looks like you found it (#507).

To change the hunt delay go to #506, 2 for night, enter a line to be answered (01), and change the rings. You'll need to allow 2 rings if you want to capture caller ID info.

I made changes on #507 and #506. but it looks to me that the night button does not work even though when you press the night button light comes on...

either on day or night mode the phones ring 4 times before it goes to vm. any ideas?

Do you want the AAT or VM to answer? There is a difference! A mailbox answering is different than the AutoAttendant answering a ringing line. Different options control those functions. This could be part of the problem!

hello... again....I have a phone on ext. 11 (analog) when ever they pick up the handset it can make calls out without pressing 9 and this ext. (11) can not make calls internally or to voice mail....any ideas.
