When I plug my cd player into my Avaya partner ACS 7.0 the music is very staticy and not clear. Even though when listeneing to the output with headphones it's loud & clear. I am plugged directly into the ACS MOH port with an RCA plug coming from my Sony CD player. I tried a new Processor only to get the same result. Any idea's

Adjust the volume through a combination of #614 and the volume control on your CD player.

Use Feature 19 to turn on Background Music and listen through the speaker of a phone without having to dial out and back in.

MOH usually sounds choppy when calling from a cell phone.

I will be installing a Partner 7.0 with a T1 card. I need to push some DID's or ANI to certain extension. Is there a good step by step instruction for this that show where I set up my T1 switch type, clocking and all that good stuff.

Thanks JimmyChris

There is NO ANI on the Partner whether you have DS1 or not! You only get CAS (Channel Associated Signalling) and the 16 channels are 4-wire E/M equivalent with whatever start type you wish.

ALL CO switches support 4-wire E/M on DS1 w/CAS. As you read the Partner documents, it will become clear the DS1 capability is VERY limited on this system.

The Partner software only supports CID on analogue modules!

The Partner ACS is aimed at small installations where T1 service isn't really needed.

When a company found itself needing a T1, the Partner was usually replaced by either a Merlin Legend or Merlin Magix with the option of keeping the Partner telephones or upgrading to the MLX or 4400 series.

Today the upgrade path would be to the IP Office but, unlike the Legend or Magix, the Partner telephone sets cannot be used with the IP Office. Supposedly that is going to change, but for now switching to the IP Office means a new system and telephone sets.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.
