I need to reset the administrator's password - can't get in to make any changes.
I don't know which message system it is - the module doesn't have any markings that say what it is. It has 2 slots for cards in it and a card in slot 1 that says 4 port. On the face it says "Partner ACS - Partner messaging.
As you can tell, I'm not to familiar with this system.
There are 2 avenues you can take to reset the Administrator's password:
One option is to contact Avaya directly. They can reset it, but they charge quite a bit for the service.
The other option would be to contact an Authorized Avaya Business Partner in your area. They can reset it for less than what Avaya charges, and also provide you with a good contact should a major problem arise with the phone system.
For legal and other reasons, the password reset procedure cannot be posted on open forums like Tek-Tips.
Establishing a relationship with a local Authorized Avaya Business Partner offers some nice advantages. If the system is in trouble, they can step in, diagnose the situation and get you back on your feet.
