Avaya Partner ACS Voice Mail

Administrator of voice mail quit and no one knows the password. I know there is a factory one to reset the system. Does anyone know what that is?
 
2 questions to clarify the situation...

Which AT&T/Lucent/Avaya voicemail does the system have? There are several of them out there. The processor itself is the Partner ACS.

Also, are you looking to reset a specific extension or the Administrator's password?

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.
 
I need to reset the administrator's password - can't get in to make any changes.

I don't know which message system it is - the module doesn't have any markings that say what it is. It has 2 slots for cards in it and a card in slot 1 that says 4 port. On the face it says "Partner ACS - Partner messaging.

As you can tell, I'm not to familiar with this system.
 
That would be an Avaya Partner Messaging.

There are 2 avenues you can take to reset the Administrator's password:

One option is to contact Avaya directly. They can reset it, but they charge quite a bit for the service.

The other option would be to contact an Authorized Avaya Business Partner in your area. They can reset it for less than what Avaya charges, and also provide you with a good contact should a major problem arise with the phone system.

For legal and other reasons, the password reset procedure cannot be posted on open forums like Tek-Tips.

Thanks for the information. I wasn't thinking to well when asking for pass words on an open forum. I'll try contacting a local service.
 
Establishing a relationship with a local Authorized Avaya Business Partner offers some nice advantages. [smile] If the system is in trouble, they can step in, diagnose the situation and get you back on your feet. [thumbsup2]
