Hi!
I have two problems (And none of them Mental / health related [smile] )

First:
I am trying to set up and ACS system for a customer with 5 lines.
They want all phones to ring at the same time when a call comes in on any line. I believe Hunt group will try each extension and move to the next one. They want all of them to ring at the same time until someone can pick it up. What should I configure for this? Hunt group ?? Call group? what is the difference?

Second:
They have 5 lines, and on the ACS line 5 is labeled as: "Line 5 --- Pager". This is where the external loud speakers are connected, and an additional cable goes I think that would be line 5, into another module on the left of the ACS to line 6. How should I configure the system ? Total lines are 6 or 5 ? And should I configure paging / Loud speakers to line 5? Then a call wont be showing up on line 5. They said they have 5 lines, but they ware not 100% sure. So they might be confused on what they are having.

Thank you!

Assigning a button on each extension for each line and option for immediate ring should take care of the first one.

Line #5 can be configured as either a line or a page port for an external paging system...depending on what the customer's needs are. If they need external paging, configure line 5 as a page port and add a 308EC to handle any expansion.

I [love2] "FEATURE 00"

Keep line 5 configured for loudspeaker paging. Put the dial tones on 1-4 and 6

Set the number of lines to 4. Add line 6 to Ext. 10, it will automatically go on the button where the 5th line of the system belongs. Use Copy, #399, to copy 10 to 11, 12, 13, 14, etc.

Every phone will end up with 5 line appearances, all with Immediate Ring, so all phones will ring on incoming calls. Label that 5th line appearance as "Line 5", but remember when you are programming, it is really line 6

Thank you for the help from all of you.

At the moment all phone calls are going to extension 10 and all other phones just flashing without a sound.
I have no idea why?

No They all ware set for immediate ring.
Feature 00, Left Intercom, Left Intercom, Right Intercom, Ext #, all lines are solid, lighting up. No flashing.

If they are solid, but not ringing,

[ul]The extension is in DND
The extension is restricted to outgoing only or no access to the line
The extension has accidentally been assigned to #505-7[/ul]

The extension is in DND - That can't be, because other extensions can call back and forth to any extensions. Like ext 15 can call ext 16, but none of them will ring on a call, except ext10.

The extension is restricted to outgoing only or no access to the line - I don't think, because the lines are flashing when an incoming call is in, and they can pick it up. Just no ring on the calls expect ext 10.

The extension has accidentally been assigned to #505-7 - No. There are no Hunt groups configured at all.

Could it be a defective ACS ?

Lines blinking Green or Red?

If 10 is working correctly, try #399-10-11 and see if it changes 11's operation. If so, copy to the rest of the extensions.

If they are blinking red, they aren't really programmed for Immediate Ring - again, check #505-7, try the copy
