so we have the avaya partner 18D system and when i transfer a call or a call goes into our one phone (we will call it ext 23) it transfers back to the front desk phone. ext 11. Actually if a call comes in from outside and the caller dials 23 it says your call cannot be transferred to 23 and it goes to the main line of ext. 11
Now backstory not sure if it has anything to do with it but a while ago we moved phone lines. this particular ext used to be 22 it is now 23. ever since we transferred the line we have had a problem. Plus it's a new phone also. Am I doing something wrong? do I need to set up this phone since it is on a brand new extension? We have replaced old phones with new and never had to do this. So I am wondering if it is the line or the phone.
