Trying to setup a Avaya One X10 analog terminal adapter to dial 9, then access the TELCO that is in the Avaya one X gateway. I can call another extension with it when I connect my analog device but I can't access the Telco dial tone.
Can someone help me here on how to set it up?

Thanks

Are you just using the One X phones to try to dial out, or are you connecting it to an IP Office through an analog ext. port?

Ive got one here, but to be honest it does my head in so much i cannot even bring myself to look at it.

Yes, put all the One x stuff in a box cover it lighter fluid then set in on fire. That'll sort it out, and will probably actually work better too!! lol

Ok,
I figured it out.....in the A10 setup window, you have to configure your SIP trunk even though you don't have SIP trunks with your service provider.

no jd, seriously take advice, don't set up sip trunks, get the petrol and a box of matches. tell the customer this is how it should work, they will think you are mad and you'll never hear from them again..

If you ever installed a Avaya INDeX then you gave the same advice regarding IP Office when it was just released ( version 1.2 ).....
Be positive, tell Avaya what you think of the product and they will improve it.
