A customer just made me aware of something that I had never noticed and am trying to find a way to change it. If I am on a call using the Avaya One-X mobile app in VoIP mode and someone calls my cell number, the call on the mobile app is immediately put on hold without warning and will stay on hold until I either decline the call or answer it and hang up. I understand it is this way by design but it can be very annoying if you're in the middle of a conversation. I'm just wondering if there is a way to give the user some type of notification that they are receiving a call and not just interrupt their conversation. I have read through lots of documentation but have not found any way to change it. Any ideas would be appreciated. BTW, I am testing this on an IPO server edition, v10 SP3 with the latest mobile app version installed on an iPhone 6S

Guessing Apple decided it should work that way

Same most/all phones, it's just an app to the phone, a call it's designed to take will take priority, not Avaya's fault and can't be changed :)

Swap them to an Android and they will get exactly what you want.

Calls on android still override sofphones though, well last I tried it did :)

I actually just tested it here on an android and it work as I would expect it should. Gave a notification of an incoming call without interrupting the conversation on the app. If I would accept the call, it would then put the app on hold. Well, at least I can tell the customer it's their iPhone and not the Avaya app causing the issue. Thanks for the input everyone! Just an FYI, I read about a work around where you can forward your cell number to your DID, therefore forcing all calls to come in on the app. Not crazy about it but it is an option.
