Avaya Multivantage 1

Hi

We're running the Avaya Multivantage solution with the S8500 and S8300 Media servers.

In IP Office there is a very useful software application called "Phone Manager". Does this work with the Multivantage solution or is there a similar piece of software?

You can control your phone and dial with outlook.

Thanks for the response.

I have previously installed the softphone, but it is just that, a software phone. The softphone doesn't integrate with a physical phone (plus there is also a licencing cost and my bosses wouldn't be too happy!)

The IP Office "Phone Manager Lite" integrates software on the users' PC with a physical phone (as I understand it).

I was under the impression there was a similar piece of software for the MultiVantage solution which will benefit all of our staff.

Am I mistaken?

You can use softphone in four diffrent way,s

1 - Telecomutter
2- Road warrior
3- Shared Control of an IP phone
4- Shared Control of an Avaya Phone

but it will never be the same as Phonemanager and in the Multivantage you never get something for free

if a communication manager is on 3.1.2 can you just upgrade to 4.0 ?

must pay for upgrades except for .x upgrades. FYI - you get 5 free softphones out of the box on every CM install since R11 (CM1)
