You can find all the documentation for free from: support.avaya.com. But I believe the MLS-12 is a Partner telset, not a VoiceMail item. What system do you have?
Jim, I dont know much about the Avaya system. I have a client that sent me a request for programming information for the MLS-12 voice mail. I'll try the web site that you've give me and see what I find. Thanks.
Sorry, my mind was in the wrong forum - VMS coverage is done by adding the extension to the Coverage group for voice mail, ususally number 30. The rest of the reply stands as is.
The MLS telephones are most often used with one of the Partner systems. However, they can be used with a Merlin Legend or Magix if a certain card is installed in the control carrier.
For convenience, here is a list of voicemails your customer might have (assuming it is an AT&T/Lucent/Avaya product).
If they have a Partner telephone system, they could have a:
1) Partner Mail
2) Partner Voice Messaging
3) Partner Mail VS
4) Avaya Partner Messaging.
If they have a Merlin Legend or Merlin Magix they could have a:
1) Merlin Mail
2) Merlin Legend Mail (007 MLM)
3) Avaya Merlin Messaging
