Got ourselves an annoying problem.

We have a MAS Server 7.0 integrated with CS1000E AML.

We have a WAV file uploaded to the MAS which is linked to a Music Route that we use for the contact center.

Problem is the music is always starting at the beginning of the wave file rather then coming in and out of the wav file like a traditional music feed would do.

From what I can tell there is no solution around this problem. Do anyone know if the RSS or Shoutcast Feeds are supported with an AML integration or does that only work if your using SIP?

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,

DH

I've been told that the documentation isn't clear on this issue and a question was raised with Avaya, who replied back that this behaviour is meant to be 'design intent'

If you call a music route it will play the file over and over forever, every separate call to music starts from the beginning. So if you call an ACD queue which gives you music for 15 seconds and then get the RAN, switch back to music.
The music will start from the beginning of the file.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

Thanks Firebird.

I am continuing to investigate this but it does appear that MAS with AML integration have nowhere near the functionality of MAS with SIP integration.

Hopefully I can find a solution otherwise it's back to the old MIRAN and UTC.
