Hi all

I am trying to find a way to have my voicemail/ auto-attendant transfer to a calliong group on my partner II system. Right now I have an aftermarket (Activevoice Lingo) voicemail system and it will not perform this function. What I want to know is:

If I switch to the Avaya voicemail system for the partner II is this system capable of haveing the auto-attendant tranfer an incoming call to a calling group (i.e. 71) rather than to a single extension?

Please let me know. I have to find a way to do this and if the Avay voicemail system will do it that will definitely be the easiest way to go. Is there a specific system rev that I have to get? (I.e. has yto be after v4.3 etc.)

Hi Anjinsan5,
I know that from at least VS 5 you can transfer to calling (7x) and hunt (77x) groups. These are valid destinations on the switch. I have done this many times in the past. I am not familiar with that voicemail unit but I am surprised it won't do it. Are you sure that you don't need to create some type of transfer only mailbox? Or do you have to tell the vm what your valid extension range is somewhere?

the lingo can transfer calls to a calling group on a partner - i have done it before as well as lots of lingo installs on partner systems - create the calling group (1,2,3 or 4) then set the lingo to transfer to that group

How did you do this? I have tried to do this but when I enter the ectension to transver to in the lingo sytem it just comes back and tells me that there's is no extension 71.

What am I doing wrong?

What I have tried:

I have the group set up in the lucent system as calling group 71.

So then I went into the Lingo system. I try to et up the menue key but when I enter the 71 it just tells me taht there is no extension 71 on the system.

Hey upstateny, do you have any manuals for the lingo? I have one on a Legend system I need to work on. I have tons of manuals, just not for the lingo. contact me at ghostin at omnicommunications.net.

you need to make sure the extension range goes up to 71 - it is in technician programming - then you can transfer calls to that group

Where do I go to set the extension range on the system. I don't have the technician's guide.

Thanks

Matt

from main greeting type TECH and you will be in tech programming - i don't have a manual but it will be in extension administration somewhere

Upstate is this done through the cosessions remote program via the serial port connection (I assume it is)?

nope - done via touch tone admin - at main greeting type tech - then listen for options for extension administration
