Hello All.

I have this IPO R8(43) with SIP Trunks using IP authentication. Incoming calls drops after 60sec. and gives fast busy on incoming calls when system is idle for more than 2 mins. Out going is fine.
Under System Status it shows trunks as idle. there has to be a timeout tab somewhere, cannot find it need help here.

thanks.

right now binding refresh rate under LAN2 Network Topology is set to 300 sec. i can change it to 3600sec. but then what will happen after an 1hr?

We had this, but dropping on 30 secs ish. Our SIPs are Gamma IP Auth though.

Turned out to be our router not doing the SIP ALG correctly. Kept sending the internal IP rather than public. We were seeing a 403 forbidden when dropped.

this was on R8.1 Beta though, but like I said, it wasn't an IPO Problem.

If you are looking at binding refresh, make it shorter. but 300 should be fine. You need to ask your ITSP what they want on this.

ITSP have no information on this.. all they said configure the ip address and it should work. we are using Cisco RV082 router; port 5060 and all port are open from/to IPO.

Turn off SIP and H323 inspect maps - or formally called fixups.

also enable the keep alive on the LAN network topology under VoIP for which the traffic is passing.

Use these commands for Cisco.

Cisco Fix-ups.
no fixup protocol sip 5060
no fixup protocol sip udp 5060

hello hairlessupportmonkey,

i don't see this option in Manager 10. "Turn off SIP and H323 inspect maps - or formally called fixups."

Outgoing calls also drops after 60 sec..

this a basic Small business router, and doesnot have this feature available.

Most do, some are hidden CLI commands (Drayteks are like this) and don't appear in the GUI :)

It was the router causing calls to drop due to firewall.
Lesson learned : Never use soho routers

Thanks for all of your help.

Thanks for your help hairlessupportmonkey.
